A Vision in the Making.

Forming the Media Immersion School for Missions Operatives.
Our vision and missions strategy for training indigenous media teams in emerging third world nations is being met with great enthusiasm everywhere we go.  If you haven't heard about it yet, I invite you to read our ministry synopsis.

This strategy integrates :
A. young people who will commit 1 1/2 to 2 years of their life to world missions.
B. a hands-on training school that equips mentors with professional television broadcast skills
C. the national church and missionaries in some of the most amazing places in the world with ground breaking opportunities to communicate the good news of Christ.

We've met with students who are the potential media mentors that will be deployed to build media teams of national believers in places like Togo, Madagascar, Romania, Pakistan.  The list is endless.  I received an email just this week from Kyrgyzstan saying, "Come and teach us.  We're ready to begin our own media team."

March 30, I spoke at the chapel services at Northwest University and had an enormous response from students who want to get involved.  Let me quote one student -  "I have known for a long time that missions is going to be a part of my life, and I have been passionate about media for as long as I can remember.  Your ministry is very much what I have been looking for."

Recently, I held a session with the Generation Training Center (GTC) in Centralia, a Master's Commission style school, and had the same response.

In June, I head to Cupertino, CA, the headquarters of Apple computers, to take a course that certifies me as a FinalCutPro software trainer.  With this we can offer our student mentors Apple certification.  That will be a huge plus for the students that enter our school.

We're seeing connections forming with Northwest University, Southwest University, and Vanguard University.

The real test.
Everything in missions must be "field driven."  If the field isn't asking for it, it will never work.  I've have had nothing but very positive and enthusiastic reactions from missionaries on the field who say again and again, "this strategy will work."  The timing is right and the opportunities are immeasurable.  This plan supplies very real possibilities for national believers to communicate the good news of Jesus in effective compelling ways on national television with the potential of speaking to millions - even entire language groups.

It just makes sense.
Business Week magazine calls this the YouTube generation.  I call it the total democratization of media production.  The days of centralized strategies for media production are gone, never to be retraced.  The new horizon is mobilization - a strategy that I call "unified decentralization."  Never have the required tools and know-how been so mobile, so affordable, and so teachable.  This plan fits all the pieces together.

This is a threshold moment for the communication of the gospel.  I have a firm conviction - This generation will be won by those who want them most.  Media is an essential strategy in reaching them.  We invite you to partner with us.

Here's where we're at.
We have raised 75% of our new budget!   We need to depart in 3 months.  65 churches are supporting us monthly.  With $3000/mo left to raise we are facing an urgent situation.

We are pleading for monthly support.  If you're not on our support team, would  you please consider one of these three options?

30 partners@ $100/mo., 50 partners @ $60/mo. or 300 partners @ $10/mo.

30@100 -  There are churches in our Northwest Network that support missions with this kind of pledge.  If your church can do that we’d urge you to consider us now.

50@60 -  We appeal to churches, families and individuals saying, Are you giving to missions what you give each month to your internet and cable TV providers?  We want to connect unreached people groups to Christ.  We need your help.  Several families and churches see the validity of this equation and have come on board.

300@10 -  If you or even one person in your congregation gave $10/mo, and every other church in the NWMN did the same, we’d have more than enough.  We ask you to consider this even on a personal level.

If you want to give a special offering to this project, mark your gift  "Project #11025, Media Training School, Class 60"

We’re called, willing and waiting to go.  Please send us!

NEXT 3 Steps: Select an above option.  Either fill out the online pledge form or download one  and fax it.  Contact us with your decision and let us know of your desire to partner with us.

Blessings.
