Greetings
from Romania!
We
have good news from Romania concerning IMM distribution during 2003.
As
you know, we have 2 important series from IMM for distribution:
-
"Boulevard des Enfants"
-
"World of Jonathan Singh"
All
these series have been translated and distributed in Romania through 2
levels of secular stations:
a)
local secular TV station (more than 40)
b)
national coverage channel "Tele 7 abc"
On
Tele7abc, in 2002 and the beginning of 2003 distributed "Boulevard
des Enfants" - every morning 2 episodes with re-run in the
afternoon the same 2 episodes.
Even
now, in January 2004, "World of Jonathan Singh" is broadcasted
daily on "Tele 7 abc". First broadcast run for the
entire series was last summer (August-September).
The
cooperation with "Tele 7 abc" is incredible. There are every
day 3-5 segments with Christian programs from Alfa Omega. Especially for
children there are 2 blocks/day:
-
8.30-9.00 AM - first run (as I told you, now the "World of Jonathan
Singh" is on the air daily)
-
5.00-5.30 PM - re-run (the same day)
In
addition, Saturday and Sunday morning they have 1 hour (2 episodes at a
time) from 8.00-9.00
There
are also many documentaries and movies with Christian content
distributed through "Tele 7 abc".
We
thank God for these open doors for the secular TV from Romania:daily 2
Christian programs for Children (and we pay nothing, we do not buy
airing time). It is a unique Christian media project in a post communist
country.
A
important part of the programs list for this special project for
children are from IMM. I thank God for the IMM team. You are a part of
what God is doing amongst children here in Romania.
For
this year, 2004, "Tele 7 abc" wants to continue running
"World of Jonathan Singh", this spring time and later, in
autumn once again. For "Boulevard des Enfants" I proposed the
series for broadcast this year to other national coverage stations. The
most interesting is "PAX-Romania". In a few days we will take
the final decision.
In
the same time, we will continue to broadcast both series in around
40 local secular TV stations.
For
video distribution (only BDE), the legislation in Romania is more
and more complicated, they introduced 2 stickers, 4 taxes for video
distribution. We are praying for additional budget to obtain
authorization for video distribution.
