September 2003
We arrived in Spain on August 14
and today (Sept 14) celebrate our one month anniversary.
We are blessed that in one month we've rented a house, connected phone
service and internet,
have all the kids enrolled in school, and begun work at IMM. We
live in Meco, just outside Madrid.
The picture above is of the Cathedral as seen from our back window.
We live on a quiet street, that is, until
THEY LET THE BULLS OUT!
This week, Meco has celebrated it's
annual fiesta with the "Encierros" (bull runs). You
won't see me
in the picture until next year.

Friday, June 13,
2003 marked the completion of our Spanish language school training in
Costa Rica.
What an amazing time. Los
profesores allí nos han dado un regalo divino en la forma de una base
de la lengua española. Le
damos gracias al Señor por CINCEL.

Dawn Marie and I, along with the
students of CINCEL, took a "Paseo" to Volcán Poas.
It is an active
volcano near the city of San José, Costa Rica. As you can see,
this country is rich with sights
and unusual vegetation.
December 2002
 
We enjoyed the most unique
Christmas ever. We call it our "Costa Rica
Christmas." Just 4 hours away
on the coast of the Pacific ocean is a fantastic beach called La
Playa Flamingo. It's not every year
that you get to go boogie boarding on Christmas Eve. The kids had
a blast!
